Eyebrows

Eyebrows are one of the most important features on your face in the way that they not only frame your eyes but can also have a major effect on the expression on your face. For example, eyebrows too thin or highly arched can give your face a surprised look or eyebrows too thick and close together can give the impression you are frowning. This is why gaining the right shape and style brows to suit your specific face is so important. There are three main techniques and styles of Semi- Permanent Eyebrows.

Powdered Brows

This is a soft block of colour to the brow. Ideal for older clients or blondes who wish for definition without having a sharp outline or striking shape.

Hollywood Brows

This tends to be more popular with dark haired clients or those who wish to have strong definition or more of a dramatic look. The entire brow is filled with one block colour giving a sharp pencilled look.

Hair Stroke Brows

This is by far the most popular of all the options and the most natural looking. Lots of individual hairstrokes are implanted into the skin to simulate real hair. This technique is ideal for those who perhaps have gaps in their brows or just have the tails missing off their eyebrows. For those suffering from Alopecia, a block template will need to be implanted on the first appointment to set the structure and then ‘Hairstroke’ can be implemented on a second visit.

The Procedure

I always allow up to two hours for an eyebrow procedure, that includes a detailed and thorough consultation period. In this time you will be briefed on the procedure itself, what to expect, we will go through a medical questionnaire and also cover all aspects of the after care. Once pigment colour, shape and style have been decided your eyebrows will be temporarily stencilled on. Once the client is 100 percent happy with their new eyebrows I will then begin the procedure. This will take anywhere between 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the technique used.

Top Up's

With all procedures a ‘top up’ will be recommended. Although it is not compluslory, I do strongly advise everyone has one. This will normally need to be done between 6-12 weeks after the procedure. It will ensure your desired look last’s and will enable me to perfect your eyebrows once healing has completed.

Wake Up With Make Up

All procedures take a minimum of 2 visits, the first appointment with consultation and the second being the 'Top Up'. I believe 'Less is Best' so the desired look will be built up over the two appointment's to ensure no one is overdone.

I advise that your first appointment creates a softer effect which can be altered on your second visit giving more definition and depth. if required.

Each visit should be spaced out between 6-12 weeks and any 'top up' booked any later than 16 weeks after the first appointment will be treated like the first procedure, this will also affect the cost of the treatment. .

A 'colour boost' is recommended every 12 - 18 months to keep your make up looking crisp and fresh.
